OK City and beyond

We have only the illusion of control. We planned to get to Oklahoma City last night. Didn't happen. We hit ice, fog, single-digit temperatures, and took some wrong turns. So we stayed in Amarillo, TX. But we got to stay with another roadie's aunt. Being in a home, rather than a sleazy motel 6 or the van, even if it was crowded, is always far superior.

The last two days we've been blessed with great conversation and bonding as a team. We are really starting to get close. Continue to pray that the Lord would grow that and draw us continually near to one another.

Not so funny experience: last night, driving thru 10 degree cold (so cold that our windows were fogging and the water was freezing on the inside of the car:)), our window motor break...in the down position. We eventually taped it up with duct tape...which by the way, is not a deluxe insulator. But this story has a happy ending - we prayed and God healed the window this morning.

Every gas station we pull into, people stop and stare at our all black vans, stickered up with "Invisible Children" all over...which gives us the opportunity to tell a ton of randoms about IC and give 'em dvds. Grassroots at it's best.

So here we are, on I-40, about an hour out of Memphis. It's our first real stop of the tour and tomorrow is our first screening. It's all about to get real. We're going to see the king.
